Best Scripting Format?

For all of those who write scripts, what do you think is the best way to write scripts or how do you write scripts?

Example 1:
Person1: Have you ever wanted to build something?
*shows hammer on screen, zooming in slowly*
Person2: I don't know, I've never tried!
*shows peasants & peons from Warcraft III and other units from other games*
Person1: Well builders in Real-Time Strategy Games have it hard. Building stuff all the time.

Example 2:
Person1 Person2 Video
Have you ever wanted to build something?
shows hammer on screen, zooming in slowly
I don't know, I've never tried!
shows peasants & peons from Warcraft III and other units from other games
Well builders in Real-Time Strategy Games have it hard. Building stuff all the time.

Example 3:

btw I just made up the lines for this "script".

I use a screenplay format. When I started work on Light Echoes, I did a little research into script writing and writing screenplays. I found a webpage titled "How to Write a Screenplay: Script Example & Screenwriting Tips" that had a pretty clear guide, and I just followed it.

This is an excerpt from my script for episode 2:

EXT. SPACE

SPLITSIE begins work on a warning beacon against the starfield.

SPLITSIE
While I'm out here working on this, see if you can
get any sense out of the main computer. Also, see
if you can find a source of minerals to replenish
our stocks.

CAPAC
Alrighty!

SPLITSIE
Don't touch any of the navigation controls.

CAPAC
Damn. I mean sure! No worries!

TRANSITION TO:

EXT. SPACE

Splitsie constructs the beacon in a fancy montage, to some space engineeringy music. Capac meanwhile takes the oppurtunity to goof around on the ship.
