  1. Recovering from Windows 8, which wasn't really the best operating system Microsoft has released, came Windows 10 on the 29th of July as a free upgrade to all Windows 7 and 8 users. Microsoft took the good old fashioned features of Windows 7, and combined them with the fancy parts of Windows 8, thus creating a user-friendly operating system that allows multitasking. In this article, we give you 3 reasons of why you should upgrade to Windows 10.

    Multiple Desktops
For the first time in history of Windows, we get the ability of having multiple desktops with separate applications running on each of them. This allows the user to perform multitasking way easier, with the games on one desktop, work and important files on another, and perhaps the DamnLag forums open in another one!

The Start Menu - It's Back!
Windows 10 brought back the glory of the start menu we've always known, however it has an extra area in the start menu containing applications and settings. The new start menu moved all the features in Windows 8's start menu into a smaller one that doesn't take up the whole screen.

Windows 10 also automatically detects what type of input you're using, whether it's the typical keyboard and mouse, or if you're using a touch display. The way it works is that when it no longer detects a mouse or a keyboard connected to the device, it switches to a touchscreen keyboard and the whole computer is optimized for touch interface.

Windows 10 is the best operating system Microsoft has released by far, tell me what you think of it down below! Thanks a lot for reading this article!

Multiple desktops-- very useful but Mac did it first

Start Menu - it's definitely beautiful but they should have been a bit more open when it comes to Cortana-- she is always on and uses a crapload of broadband

Also, it doesn't work well with all programs yet (I know it's buggy so I'm not really bitching) but I was a little annoyed that it played will with OBS for some people and for others not so much. It also cause weird bugs in some Steam games.

I think it's a bit early to call it the best OS ever. The new Browser called Edge is not really all that great either.. it's like a slightly faster Internet Explorer

Honestly I haven't had any bugs with Windows 10 so far. I use Fraps, it works just fine, and I tried A LOT of different Steam games on it, and everything just fine. Programs and games behaving weird is because they're just not "used" to multiple desktops. Also, I don't even have Cortana on my Windows 10, which is quite weird...

I really want to try this operating system. Mainly I am just looking for an increase in online FPS (which apparently it does do pretty well). Unfortunately I have capped internet and cant afford the data to upgrade :(

I am afraid not. I have a 10 GB cap, and with online game time and video uploads I dont really have much extra to spare. I might try get it at work over a weekend or something, but not sure yet.

(also that 10 Gig cap on a 2 Mb line costs me 50-60$ a month after exchange, so I cant afford to upgrade line at all XD)

      DELETE all contents from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download.

Then run this command in the cmd: wuauclt.exe /updatenow

Head over to your control panel and win10 will be downloading(If you already reserved it and it is July 29th where you live)

I downloaded the ISO from Microsoft's website and used that to upgrade. I never got the notification to upgrade either, even after "reserving."
