  1. Consoles are always competing with each other, but the only thing that really drives the fans apart on each console are the exclusive games for each console. Here are 14 of the already announced exclusive Xbox One games you won't find on other platforms.

    Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
    Release Date: August 25, 2015

    The story of “Gears of War” thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surfaced from the bowels of the planet. Players live and breathe the role of Marcus Fenix. A disgraced former war hero, Marcus seeks personal redemption as he leads his fire team against an onslaught of merciless warriors from below.

    Forza Motorsport 6
    Release Date: September 15, 2015

    Forza Motorsport 6 is an upcoming racing video game developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One. First revealed during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan on January 12, 2015, the game will be the sixth installment in the Forza Motorsport series. The game is scheduled for release in North America on September 15, 2015, followed by Japan (September 17) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (September 18).

    Halo 5: Guardians
    Release Date: October 27, 2015

    Halo 5: Guardians is an upcoming first-person shooter video game. Part of the Halo franchise, the game is being developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios. Serving as the sequel to Halo 4, it's the first Halo FPS in the series to be not rated Mature by the ESRB since the first version of Halo: Combat Evolved.

    Limbo stunned gamers back in 2010 with its monochrome graphics, haunting world, and devilish puzzles, and now the studio behind it is getting ready to do nearly all of that again with its second game, Inside. The game was unveiled in a trailer at Microsoft's E3 press conference and looks to be quite similar to Limbo: a slow-moving platformer that has players working past traps along their path. Inside appears to be just as visually stunning too. There are a few more colors now and the environment has a third dimension, but it still takes place in a very dark world, with sparing use of light and color, making it look just as eerie as the world of Limbo.

    Fable Legends
    Release Date: 2015

    Fable Legends is an upcoming free-to-play cooperative action role-playing video game developed by Lionhead Studios and published by Microsoft Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. It is the latest installment in the Fable series of video games.

    ReCore is an upcoming action-adventure video game designed by Comcept and Armature Studio. The game will be published by Microsoft Studios, and released exclusively for Xbox One in the second quarter of 2016.

    Quantum Break
    Release Date: 2016

    Quantum Break is an upcoming third-person shooter action game to be released for the Xbox One. It is being developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Microsoft Studios. A Quantum Break digital live-action series is also in production. The game will feature digital episodes that interact with the game based on the player's choices.

    Cuphead and Mugman traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful supermoves and uncover hidden secrets in Cuphead. This run-and-gun platformer game heavily focuses on boss battles for a distinctive challenge of patterns to strategize against and techniques to master. Inspired by 1930s cartoons, the visuals are hand drawn and inked and the music is all original jazz recordings.

    Gears of War 4

    Gears of War 4 is an upcoming third-person shooter video game developed by The Coalition, formerly known as Black Tusk Studios, and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One. The game is set to be released in 2016. It will be the fifth installment in the Gears of War series and the fourth main installment. It will be the sequel to Gears of War 3.

    The brief trailer showed a pirate exploring a jungle, meeting up with allies, and taking to the seas to siege other ships. Rare explains, "Plot your course and set sail for hidden riches. Navigate the perils of a fantastical world and the danger of rival crews."

    Developed by New Zealand-based studio Aurora44, Ashen is about a wanderer in search of a place to call home. In a short stage demonstration, the game depicted stylish, faceless characters in a cel-shaded world, with glimpses of flying serpentine monsters and skeleton foes.
